Laser Therapy

Advanced Pain Relief for your Pet

Petvacx is excited to offer the latest technology in health care for your pet–therapeutic laser treatments. Laser therapy is a non-surgical, drug-free option for speeding healing and reducing pain for your pets.

What is Veterinary Laser Therapy? Laser therapy or “photobiomodulation” is the use of specific wavelengths of light to create therapeutic effects. These effects include improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation, and decreased swelling.

Does it hurt? What does treatment feel like? There is little or no sensation during treatment. Occasionally the patient feels a mild, soothing warmth.

How long before results are felt from Laser Therapy? Many pets feel improvement in their condition (usually pain reduction) after their first treatment. Treatments are cumulative with most patients requiring 3 to 8 visits for greatest benefit.

Laser Therapeutic Effects

Laser energy increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients into the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain. As the injured area returns to normal, function is restored and pain is relieved.

Laser Therapy Can Help With:

  • Osteoarthritis, Joint Pain, Neck and Back Pain, Hip Dysplasia
  • Post-Surgical Pain and Recovery
  • Edema and Congestion
  • Ligament Sprains, Muscle Strains, Tendonitis
  • Puncture Wounds, Chronic Wounds, Burns, Post-Traumatic Injury
  • And more!
